She Tells Her Love While Half Asleep

She tells her love while half asleep,
........In the dark hours,
................With half-words whispered low:
As Earth stirs in her winter sleep

........And puts out grass and flowers
.................Despite the snow,
.................Despite the falling snow.

Robert Graves
